Extra

For more information on bellydance, you may care to look at some of these sites:

Shira has the largest belly dance resources on the Internet.
Yasmina also has another extensive belly dance site.
I happen to like Sherrezzah's page, especially her Arabian Nights picture collection :) (I have a fetish for Arabian Nights pictures to).
Aziza also has yet another huge belly dance resource site.
Delilah also has a great site.
Here's an article by Jasmin Jahal on Egyptian Style bellydance. Yes, I have a huge bias to Egyptian-style.

Books

Some books I'd recommend are:

Serpent of the Nile by Wendy Buoventura.
Grandmother's Secrets is a feel-good book on the dance, but I wouldn't take what was said too seriously about the history to heart. The anecdotes are great!
I also loved the Bellydance Book.

DVD's/Video

Rumor has it that the Belly dance Superstars DVD is a knockout. I don't have it but I do have the CD which is amazing.
The Stars of Egypt collection by Hossam Ramzy (an A-star musician) are breath-taking.

Images

The Bellydance museum has a ton of images.
